Barriers & Rising Bollards
Rising vehicles barriers can provide an economical way to control vehicle access. Depending on the location, they can frequently be installed with little or no alteration to the carriageway or surrounding road furniture.
Rising bollards and the heavier duty rising road blockers are frequently more costly, given the groundwork's usually required, but provide a more effective physical barrier for high security applications, or premises subject to abuse. Models are available to stop even a fully laden articulated truck in its tracks.
Entry can be in response to radio transmitters, long range proximity devices, proximity cards etc, with audio and video entry systems for visitors. Exit can be permitted by a similar arrangement of devices, or by buried induction loop.
Depending on the application, further sophistications are possible, such as automatic entry by vehicle number plate recognition, anti pass-back devices, refuse entry when car parks are at capacity or when a specified tenant has filled their quota of vehicle spaces.
As with all of the security equipment we provide, we are not tied in to any particular manufacturer or range. We can therefore select the solution and the system which matches the application, giving due attention to such issues as the density of traffic flow, the type of vehicles using the facility and the degree of security required.
